Supervising teachers bring to life the professional experience placement of pre-service teachers across Toowoomba Catholic schools and colleges.
Sharing their experience and expertise, supervising teachers’ belief in ‘teachers of the future’ and the importance of working with and alongside them offers enriching and rewarding opportunities for all.
Using the Queensland Professional Experience Reporting Framework (PDF, 881KB), which is filled with guidance, tools and templates; supervising teachers and pre-service teachers are able to co-design each placement. This ensures that when the pre-service teacher graduates they are well equipped and prepared for their new role in any one of the 32 schools across our Diocese.
Additional tools and resources are also available.
For supervising teachers, they too are growing their skills and are gathering evidence that can be used towards achieving Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher (HALT) certification.
